Mayr's Forest Rail

The last searchable media online is a recording from December 2005, the same date that a specimen was collected. In June 2007, during a subsequent expedition to the Foja Mountains of New Guinea, an adult female was photographed in the hand (Beehler and Prawiradilaga 2010). This 2007 image is the only known photograph of the species.
